The remarkable feat occurred during the first T20I match between India Women and England Women at Trent Bridge. Mandhana delivered a breathtaking innings, scoring 112 runs off just 62 balls.

Leading as captain, Mandhana demonstrated exceptional leadership with a dominant display, smashing 15 boundaries and three towering sixes. Her aggressive yet composed innings propelled India to a commanding total of 210/5 in 20 overs—their highest-ever T20I score against England.

This century marked Mandhana's maiden T20I century, completing a rare achievement that had eluded all other Indian women cricketers until now. Her century established a strong foundation early on, blending elegance with power, particularly as she countered England's leading spinners, such as Sophie Ecclestone, with fearless strokeplay.

The innings also included significant contributions from Harleen Deol, who scored 43 off 23 balls, and Deepti Sharma, who remained not out with 7 off 3 balls, ensuring India maintained a high run rate throughout the match. Lauren Bell was England’s most successful bowler, claiming three wickets, but the damage had already been inflicted.

Mandhana's accomplishment places her among an elite group of cricketers globally—both male and female—who have achieved centuries across all three formats. Her milestone is a pivotal moment not only for her career but also for Indian women’s cricket, inspiring a new wave of cricketers to pursue ambitious goals and overcome obstacles.

With this impressive performance, Mandhana has reaffirmed her position as the face of Indian women’s cricket—consistent, fearless, and record-breaking.
